Breaking the mark

I finally broke 130lbs.  A wee bit anxious - but I'm eating healthier than I was before pregnancy - so I'm feeling okay.  My taste buds like spinach salads again and my super client gave me a great recipe for black bean/turkey chili.  Yup - still on the chili.  In fact, we went to Green Truck Pub last night - I've been dying to try their homemade veggie burger.  And whaddya know - it comes topped with....CHILI.  Oh God - my dream-come-true.  It didn't go quite as planned.  I scarfed half a burger down and promptly barfed it back up.  However, Breton raced me home in time to vomit in my own toilet - he's so awesome - and speedy on the Truman too.

I also finally got asked last week if I was pregnant with twins.  Luckily - it was asked by a snarky old man so I couldn't lay the smack-down on him.  But I am going to pull him aside tomorrow and tell him that he's rude.  What a douche. 

We're heading to Gloucester for Thanksgiving - I'm looking forward to the time off.  Work has been brutal, but I'm thankful this year for every client!  Even the whiners....:)

Boy oh BOY!


Can't belive it - finally - it's a boy!  We are so excited.  No names yet - we're still fighting over it.  Bret wants to name him after a baseball player (not Big Poppie or Nomar, thank God).  I have a different opinion - but we'll wait till he comes out and we'll see what he looks like.  Sonja Fishkind of Art Cake Co. did an amazing job on the cake - it was absolutely delicious.  Took me 12 hours to finish it.  That's it - just 12.

We had our 20 week ultrasound last week.  Baby Bell is measuring 6 days early - a growing boy, that's what we like.  My weight is hovering at 129lbs.  Crisis mode sets in at 130lb, so I'm almost there.  Watch out Bret - it's going to be dangerous.  I wouldn't even allow the nurse to weigh me.  I closed the door, took off all of my clothes and did it myself.  My doc was quite amused.

Exercise is still going well, although it pulls on my tummy to do a jog.  Stopping that and switching to a really fast walk.  I should get a maternity speedo and start swimming again.  That'll be next week's goal.  Still into chili.
